Professor at the Faculty of Law, Palacký University Olomouc, where she specializes in the theory, research, and teaching of mediation. With over two decades of experience as a practising mediator, she has worked extensively in civil, family, criminal, and consumer disputes. At the Faculty of Law in Olomouc, she incorporated mediation studies into the curriculum in 2013, founded the Mediation Clinic in 2021, and established the Centre for Conflict Resolution and Mediation in 2023. She served as a member of the advisory body to the Minister of Justice of the Czech Republic for alternative dispute resolution and played an active role in the legislative process of the Mediation Act, including the development of mediator exams. Currently, she chairs the Examination Committee for mediator exams under the Mediation Act and is a member of the Mediation Working Group at the Ministry of Justice of the Czech Republic. Her research has extensively examined family mediation in the Czech Republic. Between 2018 and 2020, she led the national research project Conditions for the Practice of Mediation in the Czech Republic according to the Mediation Act. Since January 2024, she has been the principal investigator of another national research initiative, Mediation in Criminal Proceedings in the Context of Restorative Justice.
