The European People’s Party Towards Climate Protection and The Energy Transition, in the light of the 2019 and 2024 Election Manifestos
Abstract
The purpose of the considerations contained in this article, is to analyse the basic assumptions and evolution of the European People's Party (EPP) position on climate protection issues and energy policy and transition, in the light of the party's 2019 and 2024 election manifestos. The juxtaposition of the content of the election manifestos provides an opportunity to answer the question with which energy and climate policy agenda the EPP enters the new term of the European Parliament.
